The Hells Angels have come and gone in Laconia with barely a peep.
Police Chief Chris Adams says there were no incidents involving the notorious motorcycle club during the five-day World Run that ended Sunday. The annual gathering is billed as a business meeting that was expected to draw up to 2,000 members and their families to the region. But Adams says the actual number was no more than 500.
Adams tells The Citizen that the Hells Angels kept a low profile.
The city had prepared for trouble, even though it wasn’t expected.
Adams says the city is on the hook for all the police overtime involved with keeping the peace
