MIRAMAR - A special needs girl who’s dad is in the Marines will soon get four legged help thanks to a donation from various organizations.
MCAS Miramar representatives announced Friday that Adamari Muñiz, a 10 year old Epilepsy patient, will receive a service dog to help her with everyday tasks that her condition limits her from taking on.
The dog, a golden labrador retriever, was donated to the family of Staff Sergeant Julio Muñiz who’s based out of  the Marine Core Air Station, by Milk-Bone, the Defense Commissary Agency and Canine Assistants.
The specially trained dog will be presented to the family within the following months.  According to sources, Adamari will be flown out to Atlanta to meet several service dogs to personally pick her canine companion.
