Two Finks motorcycle gang members have been jailed for threatening to kill a man and his brother unless they paid $100 thousand.
The court heard Finks members Jason Lee Kingston and Travis John Lemm threatened to shoot a man and his brother in the head if they did not pay the money.
The court was told the victim was serving a sentence at Mobilong jail at the same time as Kingston, and agreed to pay Kingston $30 thousand for protection.
After they were released, Lemm threatened to kill the victim and increased the payment to $100 thousand.
Judge Dean Clayton said the threats were terrifying and had a long-lasting effect on the victim and his family.
Kingston was set a non-parole period of 14 months, while Lemm will spend at least three years and three months in jail for blackmail and a drug trafficking offence.
