OFF THE WIRE
Just a little update. The legislation went into the Senate Public Safety Committee like I predicted. It is comprised of 7 members of which 4 are already committed to us as yes votes. The only problem facing us right now is convincing the Chairman to schedule a hearing ASAP and that should not be a problem as he is a personal friend of mine. I have a call into him and to the Senator who is the Co-Sponsor of the legislation and a committee member. But, we are talking politics. The reason they call it politics is because shit was already taken.
With a little luck we might get this bill heard by next Wednesday. God willing and the creek don't rise.
