Myrtle Beach police searched for the driver of a vehicle that caused a motorcyclist to drop his bike while stopped along Ocean Boulevard, according to a police report.
A 31-year-old man told police he was driving his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when a vehicle starting following him too closely along North Ocean Boulevard, police said.
The man said when he pulled up at Fifth Avenue North the vehicle came up and tapped the motorcycle, which caused the man to drop it, according to the report. The man was hurt during the incident, but the motorcycle had scratches and a broken mirror.
A witness, who saw the incident, confirmed the man’s account of the incident. Police searched the area, but did not locate a suspect.
