New York - Residents Arrested in Gang Sting

Gary Alves, 46, of Sterling, and Thorsten Hisam, 38, of Ashburn, were among the first people arrested and publicly named as a result of a two-year undercover police operation of three motorcycle gangs, officials said.
Three other men were arrested outside Loudoun, and have been charged with gang incidents in Loudoun County, said Kraig Troxell, spokesman for the Loudoun's Sheriff's Department.
Police have not disclosed all of the names or the exact number of arrests made last week in several counties, including Loudoun. Law enforcement authorities executed several simultaneous arrest and search warrants at 6 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, in Virginia and Maryland.
Authorities used a search warrant at Alves home on Silver Pond Square and charged him with assault, brandishing a firearm and unlawfully carrying a firearm.
They used a search warrant at Hisam's Nashua Street home, and charged him with illegal possession of a firearm. In early 2002, a Fairfax County police detective infiltrated the Red Devils Motorcycle Club, which is sponsored by the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club in North Beach, Md.
