Dallas Derby Devils fans and volunteers attacked at local bar

OFF THE WIRE

Amy Harrison
Dallas Derby Devils Examiner

Friends and family of the Dallas Derby Devils were attacked last night at Big Shots Sports Bar in Bedford. Initial reports indicate no serious injuries.

Members of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club ganged up on several members of a softball team comprised of the friends and family of several local derby girls. Reports by those involved show that the motorcycle club's members attacked indiviuals in groups of 5 or more on one person. An off duty waitress was also thrown to the ground in the midst of the fight.

The bouncers employed by the bar sat idley by as the 3 men and 1 woman were accosted by the bikers. Contusions and goose eggs on the head seem to be the worst of the injuries despite the woman receiving a beer bottle to the face.

Bedford police failed to respond to the phone call placed seeking assistance.

At least those attacked know that not all motorcycle clubs act in such a manner. Most of those involved have participated and enjoyed the hospitality of both the Wind & Fire Motorcycle Club http://tinyurl.com/DDD-WFMC and the Scorpions Motorcycle Club http://tinyurl.com/DDDScorpions on many different occasions.

Further information will be reported as obtained. This reporter is wishing a quick recovery to all involved.
