9 indicted in Chino Valley biker shootings

The Yavapai County Attorney's Office released Wednesday indictments returned by a Yavapai County Grand Jury on Sept. 1 for nine men charged in the Aug. 21 shooting between the Hells Angels and Vagos motorcycle gangs in an unincorporated area northwest of Chino Valley.

Brian Apfel, 38, of Las Vegas was indicted on discharging a firearm at a residential structure, and will have his next case management conference on Oct. 4 in Division 6 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

John Anthony Bernard, 44, of Phoenix was indicted on eight counts of aggravated assault, assisting a criminal street gang and seven counts of disorderly conduct and will have his next case management conference on Oct. 11 in Division 5 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

Kevin E. Christensen, 50, of Kingman was indicted on eight counts of aggravated assault, assisting a criminal street gang, and seven counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon. Christensen's case management conference will be Oct. 11 in Division 5 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

Jess Ramirez Flores, 61, of Glendale was indicted on discharging a firearm at a residential structure, possession of narcotic drugs and possession of dangerous drugs. Flores' case management conference will be Oct. 11 in Division 5 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

Kiley Steven Hill, 39, of Camp Verde was indicted on three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon, participating in a criminal street gang, and assisting a criminal street gang. Hill's case management conference will be Oct. 11 in Division 5 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

Robert Edward Kittredge, 36, of Prescott Valley was indicted on three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon, participating in a criminal street gang, and assisting a criminal street gang. Kittredge's case management conference will be Oct. 11 in Division 6 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

Michael Trevor Koepke, 28, of Prescott Valley was indicted on eight counts of aggravated assault, participating in a criminal street gang, assisting a criminal street gang and seven counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon. Koepke's case management conference will be Oct. 11 in Division 5 of the Yavapai County Superior Court. Koepke's release order was modified on Sept. 1 to allow him to continue his employment at Sturm, Ruger & Co. so long as he does not possess any actual firearm or a trigger of a firearm, according to court documents.

Bruce Andrew Schweigert Sr., 46, of Cornville was indicted on three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon, participating in a criminal street gang and assisting a criminal street gang. Schweigert's case management conference will be Oct. 11 in Division 6 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.

Larry Dean Scott Jr., 47, of Chino Valley was indicted on eight counts of aggravated assault, assisting a criminal street gang, seven counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon and possession of dangerous drugs. Scott's case management conference will be Oct. 11 in Division 5 of the Yavapai County Superior Court.
