From ABATE of California

OFF THE WIRE
July 7, 2010

It has recently come to the attention of ABATE leadership that Senator Pavley played a little fast and loose with her list of supporters endorsing SB-435. While the two most prominent supporters endorsing SB-4354 are the American Lung Association and Noiseoff, and rightfully deserve our attention and condemnation, it appears that BUB Enterprises may have gotten a raw deal. Other members of the California MRO community have informed me that BUB Enterprises steadfastly maintains they did not support SB-435 in stark contrast to Senator Pavley’s portrayal of them as a supporting organization. A meeting has tentatively been scheduled for July 9th, 2010, with representatives of the California MRO community and Roger Farmer of BUB Enterprises for further clarification on their status with regard to SB-435. I would ask that all ABATE members kindly refrain from sending any further derogatory comments to BUB Enterprises at this time until all the facts are in. It is only fair that we give Mr. Farmer an opportunity to explain his side of this affair with regard to Senator Pavley’s actions. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this issue and I will have further commentary on this issue as soon as those representatives have spoken with Mr. Farmer.

Sincerely,

Anthony Jaime
Executive Director
