KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Outlaw Motorcycle Club is suing Knox County, the city of Knoxville and officers of their respective police and sheriff's departments claiming civil rights violations in a New Years Eve raid on its clubhouse.
The Knoxville News Sentinel reports attorney Phil Lomonaco filed the $6 million suit in U.S. District Court in Knoxville on Friday.
The lawsuit claims law enforcement used heavy-handed, violent and abusive tactics in violation of the club members' rights. The suit also accuses officers of taking the grave markers of dead club members, jewelry and other valuables.
