The Hells Angels of New York State hold an annual event called Jammin' with 81. This three-day red and white celebration is usually held at the Green Island Rod & Gun Club in Schaghticoke, New York and this year was held this past weekend, May 21-23.
This was a well-organized event designed to be enjoyable for everyone. Although it is typical to see many motorcycle clubs represented at biker club events, the Hells Angels attract the widest variety. Colors from across New York State and beyond could be seen among the various vendors and all throughout the campsite area. Jammin’ with 81 is open to the public and occasionally those curious enough will venture out to an HA event and once they do, they usually return. In the case of this particular event , there are as many regulars as newcomers that show up. The weather cooperated, the food was good, there was music in the air, and there were no bad attitudes to keep everyone from enjoying a great weekend. There were games, contests, and a few tattoo artists ready to create little masterpieces on all who were ready and willing.

To name just a few of the clubs from this area in attendance: 69ers MC (Troy and Brooklyn chapters), Un-Easyriders MC,Boozefighters MC, Mortal Skulls MC, Bladesmen MC, Road Dragons MC. Outside the Capital District area there was representation from clubs in the NYC, Massachusetts and Rhode Island areas, and of course Hells Angels chapters from across New York and surrounding states, providing enough eye candy to cause a major distraction!

In order to experience all the benefits of attending this annual event, it’s better to pitch a tent and plan to stay awhile. It’s just way too entertaining to pack into a few hours!
