The 1st Annual San Diego Wounded Vets Run is inspired by the same patriotic American's who host The Boston Wounded Vets Run. Their hard work and dedication to ensure veterans have peace of mind knowing that there are individual's who support what they do on a constant basis, motivated us to bring such a historic event to San Diego and the Southern California region. The founder of Boston's Wounded Vet Run, Andrew Biggio, has given a whole new meaning to supporting wounded veteran's. They raised in excess of 130k to divide between 3 honoree's last year, which was truly an amazing show of compassion as American's.
The San Diego Wounded Vets Run in 2014 will consist of 1 honoree, with hopes of raising the stakes next year to support multiple honoree's. With the huge military influence in and around San Diego and Southern California, not to mention the brilliant weather, we hope to have as much success as Boston so we can continue to make this event a success for everyone involved. This will allow us to give back to those combat wounded service members who may not be able to provide themselves the necessities they need!
