For
the past few years the U.S. military have been training in tactical
urban assault. A few stories have surfaced describing the training as
preparing for new, unfamiliar, and not yet thought up scenarios focusing
on suburban and urban terrain. As the state is preparing for
"asymmetric warfare" the society is further enslaved by media delusions.
The U.S. military clearly thinks that impending economic collapse will
cause further social unrest leading to full blown class warfare. If this
happens know that urban environments will militarized over night (see:
boston bombing aftermath). Here is a few news articles documenting the
rise of urban assault training.
The U.S. Military has built a 300 acre “fake city” in Virginia, at the cost of $96 million dollars. Why? The city is a training complex for urban warfare. But most disturbing for Americans should be the fact that it is modeled entirely after middle American cities, like those all over the country.
The “fake city” or “Asymmetric Warfare Training Center” is complete with a sports stadium, bank, school, churches, mosques and even and underground subway. The military explains the purpose is to train for “unspecified future combat scenarios.”
The Telegraph UK reports that “The subway carriages even carry the same logo as the carriages in Washington DC.”
This would seem to suggest that the “unspecified future combat scenarios” are intended to be close to home.
Colonel John P. Petkosek said that, “This is the place where we can be creative, where we can come up with solutions for problems that we don’t even know we have yet… This is where we’ll look at solutions for the future–material solutions and non-material solutions… anything from how you’re going to operate in a subterranean environment to how you dismount a Humvee to avoid an IED strike.”

Marines to Conduct Urban Training in Central Virginia

A group of marines will be training near Charlottesville.
The 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit will be training between Friday and September 13 near Charlottesville, Dinwiddie and Natural Bridge. The point is to change locations so Marines can train in completely new areas unique from standard facilities and bases.
The Marines will be specifically in the Charlottesville area on September 5.

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Marines and sailors of the Camp Lejeune, N.C.-based 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit will conduct training near the towns of Farmville and Creeds, Va., in the coming days to help them prepare for their pending deployment later this spring.
The Marines will primarily operate out of Fort Pickett, Va., from Jan. 12 to Jan. 20, with training planned off base in select locations in Farmville and Creeds as part of their Realistic Urban Training Exercise, or RUT, which allows the Marines to train in completely new areas that are unique from the standard training facilities they use on bases.
There is one small-scale event planned in Creeds taking place at a Virginia Beach Police training facility. In Farmville, there are three off-base events planned, only one of which should be noticeable to citizens on the western outskirts of Farmville. The Marines will notify residents in the immediate area of the training sites by conducting house-to-house canvassing to ensure locals are notified prior to each event.
Much of the training will center on what the Marines call situational training exercises. The MEU will be issued a series of mock orders, designed to replicate the types of missions they're likely to face during their deployment, then plan the missions in detail and execute them in pre-designated locations that have already been coordinated with community officials and law enforcement.
