VOP-FreedomMedia, founded by Hank McGrath, is an innovative multi-media venture LIVE online which empowers the public with the importance of their voice, insight and interactive participation through the freedom of media.
We offer VOP-FreedomRadio {Voices of the People}, a popular"NO BOUNDARY" internet radio/podcast with 1000's of listeners and subscribers as an informative, interactive, educational, cultural and entertainment resource which enhances the reality of freedom through human spirit and cyberspace. Musicians, Artists and creatives are featured on the shows, as well as an open forum for various "causes" and human struggles. We do not have a "pay to play" policy most all radio stations rely on by charging struggling musicians and others simply to be featured on the air. Our radio programs are also archived online for future reference and public downloads.
VOP-FreedomMedia also provides an online "newszine" calledTheHeritageVoice, which allows student and citizen journalists to submit articles while sharing local and world news online for thousands of readers - locally and nationally.
Involved in the production of both program segments is our video documentary productions with the assistance of professional documentary director, producer and videographer, Harols Bryant ofPopsMediaPro.Com. These special documentaries are essentially news coverage on various issues any member of the public may bring to our attention that requires urgent assistance which we broadcast on local public access tv, youtube and so on.
We are DESPERATELY seeking funding to continue providing a free voice and empowerment resource for the public. Created, privately funded, hosted and produced by Hank McGrath, an investigative reporter and seasoned rights advocate in NYS - VOP-FreedomRadio has been pioneering cyberspace since 2005.
Generally, as with most local radio stations/shows, underwriters may dictate station contents and topic leanings - This practice threatens the'FREEDOM APPROACH we use to run the station; Hence, we have shied away from normal underwriters and advertisers in order to protect the free flow and creativity our productions allow. THIS SACRIFICE TO INSURE FREEDOM HAS COST US!
To save, strengthen and continue VOP-FreedomMedia we need to establish our own fund under VOP-FreedomMedia THROUGH PUBLIC UNDERWRITERS AND SPONSORS who share in the belief that a "free media" with the "Voice Of The People" aspect is an exercise of spirited human freedom and must remain intact.
