AUSTRAILIA - Bikies beware: The blitz is on

OFF THE WIRE
 3aw.com.au

Bikie gangs have been featured in the news recently and Victorian Attorney General Robert Clark is leading the crack down.
Along with Sly of the Underworld, Mr. Clark joined 3AW Breakfast this morning and discussed why Victoria is blitzing the bikies.
"In a situation where the gang is basically serving as a front for criminal activity, these outlaw bikie gangs will be able to be prohibited and stop Victoria from becoming an underbelly for criminal bikie gang activity.
"This is targeted as those groups who operate under a pretense of legality and gangs who use insignia and colours as a form of intimidation," the Attorney-General said.
Sydney has also taken measures to curtail bikies at King's Cross, prohibiting the gang members to wear their club colours in the notorious red-light district.
