Please support me on Rip's B.A.D. Ride

OFF THE WIRE

Dear family and friends,
It’s that time of year: the 2012 Rip's B.A.D. Ride (Bikers Against Diabetes) is just over 4 weeks away! For the third year, Rick and I are joining thousands of motorcyclists on this fund raising ride and festival bringing the biker nation together to Stop Diabetes®. All money goes to the American Diabetes Association to help support their community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes, and fund critical research for a cure.
Last year Rick and I raised the bar by throwing the first TEAM TRIUMPH! BBQ Bash, which helped us more- than- double the amount of money we raised in 2010. It was a great success, so this year we brought the BBQ back by popular demand! Again there were rave reviews for the great food, fantastic music, silent auction, raffles, and plate prizes. The BBQ is our way of kick- starting our fund raising, but that’s just the start.
We need your help to surpass last year’s total. Please sponsor me in the fight against diabetes by clicking the link to my personal page and making a donation:
All donations are fully tax- deductible and any amount you give can and will make a difference. On- line donations are completely secure and the easiest way to give. However, if you prefer to make a donation off- line, please contact me at 626-798-1527, or via reply.
Here are some other ways you can help:
·         Spread the word. Forward this mail to family, friends, and co- workers, asking them to donate.
·         Ask your employer to make a matching donation.
·         If you own a business, make a business donation (remember it’s tax- deductible).
·         Join TEAM TRIUMPH! Go to my personal page and click the “Join Anne’s Team!” button. Then raise funds and participate in the ride and/ or festival on July 1. You do not need to ride a motorcycle to fund raise and attend the event. This year the festival will be at the Great Park in Irvine. Raise $500 or more and attend the V.I.P. celebration in the WWII Hangar enjoying an afternoon of good music, food, and a great atmosphere among vintage airplanes.
I would like to thank those of you who have donated in past years and who have already donated to this year’s ride campaign for supporting a cause which is near and dear to my heart. I wish each and every one of you who reads this message peace, health, and happiness… always,
Anne
