AUSTRALIA - Charges dropped over Hindley St shooting

A man arrested over an alleged bikie gxxg-related shooting in Hindley Street in Adelaide last weekend has been released on bail after prosecutors dropped most of the charges against him.Andrew Machjarak, 33, had been in custody since Sunday.
Adelaide Magistrates Court was told police no longer thought he was the shooter.
Prosecutors dropped a number of charges, but left one of basic affray.
Machjarak is among five people arrested over the shooting.
His case will return to court later in the month.

Bikies bashed in Beckenham
Two suspected Rock Machine bikie gxxg members were stabbed and bashed after being accosted in a Beckenham street last night.
Police are investigating reports several thugs confronted the pair as they got out of a car about 9pm.
A 28-year-old man suffered cuts to the face, neck and upper body and a 31-year-old was hit in the head.
The men were taken to Royal Perth Hospital and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The gang crime squad is investigating.
