AUSTRALIA - Bikies believed linked to Sydney shooting

OFF THE WIRE
Bikie gxxgs are suspected of being involved in a shooting at a tattoo parlour in Sydney's northwest.Detectives from two of the NSW police's specialist anti-gang units have been called in following the shooting in Baulkham Hills at about 5.20am (AEDT) on Wednesday.
Witnesses told police that someone fired several shots into a roller shutter at the premises and fled on foot.
About 18 bullet casings were found at the scene, Macquarie Radio Network has reported.
Gang Squad detectives and officers from Strike Force Raptor have begun investigations.
The strike force was established in March 2009 after a deadly brawl at Sydney Airport between the Hells Angels and Comanchero gxxgs.
The elite unit targets illegal activities run by outlaw motorcycle gxxgs, including violent drug and guns crimes.
Officers from Operation Spartan were also informed of the shooting.
That major strike force was formed in January this year following four gxxg-related shootings in Sydney's western and southern suburbs.
Police have appealed for information and are looking for a man wearing dark clothes and a hoodie jacket.
He was last seen running south along Seven Hills Road.
The NSW opposition said the latest shooting showed gun crime and gang violence were out of control in the state.
It came after 66 drive-by shootings in NSW since Premier Barry O'Farrell come to power. The government's own figures revealed that the Hills Area Local Command, where the latest incident occurred, was 10 police officers short, opposition police spokesman Nathan Rees said.
"We need more police on the ground fighting this war," he said.
