Tennessee - Memphis motorcycle club grill takes unauthorized round trip

OFF THE WIRE
A member of a Memphis motorcycle club was surprised Monday to see the club's $2,500 grill being towed by an unfamiliar sport utility vehicle on Elvis Presley Boulevard south of Brooks, according to a court affidavit.

He drove after the grill, confronting two men and a woman in the SUV in a Walgreens parking lot nearby on Elvis Presley. They drove the grill back to its home at 3210 Hernando and left.

Called about noon, Memphis police officers spied a 1988 Mitsubishi Montero with three people in it that matched the description they'd been given as well as video images made of the temporary theft of the motorcycle club grill.

Police charged two Hernando men, Michael W. Merriman, 45, and Michael Merriman II, 24, as well as a Memphis woman, Kelly Albauer, 44, with felony theft.

Merriman was held in Shelby County Jail on $8,000 bond and Merriman II on $20,000 bond. Albauer was held in Shelby County's Jail East on $20,000 bond.
