FLORIDA - Windermere: Time card ends former outlaw biker's police career

OFF THE WIRE
A police officer with a history of drug arrests and membership in the Warlocks motorcycle club has been fired by the Windermere Police Department for falsifying his time card, according to police Chief Mike McCoy.
Gregory Beasley was fired at 5 p.m. Wednesday, McCoy said. He was hired by disgraced police Chief Daniel Saylor in what became known as the Windermere police scandal.
The scandal began when Saylor, now 45, was arrested in January 2011 on charges of blocking a child-rape investigation to help a friend — the accused rapist.
Saylor, who lost his police certification, is serving one year in a work-release program.
Beasley joined the force in 2009 after Saylor's girlfriend recommended him for the job, records show.
