A POLICE officer was concussed shortly after members of outlaw motorcycle gang the Rebels were asked to leave a bar in Perth's Southern suburbs.
Jake Robert Toki, 19, of Waikiki, appeared in East Perth Magistrates' Court today charged with assault public officer causing bodily harm.
Sitting in the dock wearing a  Harley Davidson T-shirt, Mr Toki's  Legal Aid lawyer Kate Turtley-Chappel told Magistrate Richard Bayley there would be an application for bail.
Prosecutor Sergeant Steve Maine argued that it was a serious allegation that carried a term of imprisonment because it was a prescribed offence.
Ms Turtley-Chappel told the court the police officer suffered mild concussion and cuts and abrasions to his face.
Sgt Maine said there was a fight between a group of Rebels and police but he did not elaborate.
The fight happened after Rebels bikies and associates were asked to leave The Gate Bar and Bistro in Success about 7.30pm on Friday.
It will be alleged  trouble flared when about 60 bikies  left the bar and congregated in the carpark.
The officer was assaulted when police were called to disperse the crowd.
Mr Toki was granted bail with a personal undertaking of $2000 on the condition he live at an address in Waikiki and comply with an  8pm to 6am curfew.
He is due to appear at Fremantle Magistrates' Court February 3.
A 36 year old Henderson man has been charged with two counts of assault public officer and one count of obstruct public officer in connection with the incident. He will appear in the same court on January 20.
