AUSTRALIA - Bikxx shot in head during street fight

OFF THE WIRE
POLICE said two men due to face court tomorrow were the best people to assist in investigating the shooting death of fellow bikie Neal Todorovski at Sans Souci last week.
The men are New Zealander John Haper Leger, 32, of Newport, on the northern beaches, and Matthew Edward Lewis, 23, of Elanora, Queensland.
Police told Parramatta Local Court last week Mr Todorovski was armed with a .22 calibre semi-automatic pistol when he left his Sans Souci apartment shortly before he was gunned down in the street.
The two men were in custody when they made their first court appearances via audio visual link before magistrate Paul Lyon.
They did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
The men are due to appear again via audio visual link at Central Local Court tomorrow.
Police allege Leger was wearing knuckle dusters and Lewis had a 30-centimetre kitchen knife when they accompanied Mr Todorovski from his home.
All three were members of the Lone Wolf outlaw motorcycle gang.
A police fact sheet said a man was standing outside a black vehicle in Selmon Street before Leger allegedly struck him with his knuckle dusters, without provocation.
Lewis and Leger allegedly assaulted the unknown man before he ran to the driver's side of the car and grabbed a handgun, which he used to shoot Mr Todorovski.
According to the police facts, four or five shots were fired and Mr Todorovski suffered several gunshot wounds, including one to the head.
It is alleged Lewis and Leger ran away, only to return to where the wounded man was lying on the street.
Police officers found both men and Mr Todorovski's wife in the street after the incident.
The two men told officers they had nothing to tell them.
Lewis initially provided police with a different name and age before providing his correct details.
Both were charged with affray and concealing a serious indictable offence.
Leger was also charged with possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit.
