AUSTRALIA - Woman charged after firearms, drugs and cash seized - Strike Force Raptor

Officers from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor have charged a 47-year-old woman with numerous offences after seizing firearms, cash, drug paraphernalia and fireworks.

Officers conducted a search warrant on a house in Mt Druitt, alleged to be linked to a senior member of the Rebels, on Monday afternoon (10 October 2011).

It was part of Strike Force Raptor’s ongoing investigations into alleged criminal activity by outlaw motorcycle gangs.

During the warrant, officers allegedly seized three rifles, a shotgun, fireworks and more than $17,000 in cash.

Quantities of cannabis, amphetamines, steroids and drug paraphernalia were also located and seized.

On Tuesday 11 October 2011, a 51-year-old man alleged to be a high-ranking member of the Rebels attended Mount Druitt Police Station where he was spoken to by Strike Force Raptor investigators. He was released pending further inquiries.

Just after 10am today, a 47-year-old woman attended Mt Druitt Police Station and was placed under arrest.

She was charged with:

- five counts of possess prohibited drug
- two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity)
- two counts of supply prohibited drug
- deal with the proceeds of crime
- three counts of possess unregistered firearm
- four counts of possess unregistered firearm
- not keep firearm safe.




The woman, from Mount Druitt, was granted conditional bail to appear at Mount Druitt Local Court on 17 November.


Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009 and is a proactive, high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their alleged associated criminal enterprises.
