11yo boy shot in bikie gang war

A boy shot during an apparent home invasion in Adelaide is believed to be the son of a bikie gang member.

SA Police said measures were in place to stop retaliation over injuries sustained by Mark Sandery's son, 11.
"The fact remains that an innocent child sustained serious injuries as a consequence of his father being associated with a bikie gang," police said in a statement.
"Police are committed to finding the offenders, but our job is made more difficult by the silence of those with valuable information.
"Police issue a stern warning that anyone considering retaliatory action will be swiftly dealt with. The message is clear. Leave this to the police."
Senior members yesterday denied offering a $500,000 bounty for the gunmen, saying the incident had "nothing to do" with inter-club rivalries.
"Mark Sandery is a former member of the Finks Motorcycle Club," the club told The Advertiser. "There is no reward - if the State Government wants to offer one, that's their business and it would be welcomed.
"This incident is not a club rivalry matter, and the Finks have no information to offer police  ...  Police should get on with it, get on with their job and try and solve this crime."
Mr Sandery's son was wounded when two male intruders burst into a home on Friday night, firing twice into a room where the boy was sleeping. Both bullets passed through his leg.
Mr Sandery was banned from Royal Adelaide Hospital when he went to visit his son.
