Authorities say a 51-year-old man died after a pick-up truck rear-ended his motorcycle, and a car struck him.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports that Larry Wayne Weaver died at the scene Friday night on U.S. Highway 221 in Chesnee.
The Highway Patrol says a truck driven by 21-year-old Brian Robinson of Forest City, N.C., rear-ended Weaver's motorcycle as he slowed down to make a right turn about 11 p.m. Weaver was thrown from his Honda motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet. He was then struck by a car.
Robinson is charged with felony driving under the influence, resulting in death.
Investigators say Robinson and the car's driver were wearing seat belts and not injured.
Robinson was in Spartanburg County jail. It was unclear if he had an attorney.
