Living With the Wounds of War: The Brogan's Story

OFF THE WIRE
Dear Philip,
Be There for Heroes and Their Families…

Philip, through your support of DAV, you reach out to heroes like Mark and Sunny Brogan!
Please step forward yet again with a gift of $25 … $50 … $100 to the DAV now!

It tears at one’s heart to hear a hero like Mark Brogan describe how his war wounds get him down ... or to listen as his wife, Sunny, explains how different their lives have become.
Yet this brave couple wants you to hear their story so you’ll be aware of all the veterans and families who suffer in silence.
Though Mark survived a suicide bomber’s attack in Iraq, his wounds utterly changed his life. These included:
An injured brain
Post-traumatic stress disorder
Hearing and memory loss
A spinal cord injury
Epilepsy
And much more
Mark feels like a different guy now. But you come to the aid of disabled veterans through DAV, the organization that leads the fight to do what’s right.
Mark had to give up his dream of starting a new career in business, but he says his drive to help other vets builds his confidence, giving him reasons to more forward.
Through DAV leadership at the local level, the Brogans also get a rare chance to “get out” and bond with other families who understand what they endure, escaping days filled with doctor’s appointments, physical therapy, and pent-up frustration.
That’s where the DAV ... and you, Philip... take the lead!
With support from their DAV family, the Brogans are now about as strong as they come. Help build better lives for such deserving Americans as you give $25 … $50 … $100 or more to DAV now!
