Australia - WA police to keep tabs on Mercanti's movements

OFF THE WIRE

WA police say they will be monitoring the interstate movements of Troy Mercanti

The Western Australian Police Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan says police will monitor the interstate movements of bikie gang member Troy Mercanti.
Mercanti was released from prison earlier this week after serving two-and-a-half years for causing grievous bodily harm.
He joined the Finks motorcycle gang in 2008 after being kicked out of the Coffin Cheaters earlier that year.
Mr O'Callaghan has told the ABC that Mercanti is currently in Adelaide but WA's organised crime squad is keeping track of his movements.
"We're very interested in tracking his movement, because there's still a fair degree of conflict as you know between a number of bikie gangs in Western Australia and across Australia," he said.
"And we want to know as part of our intelligence gathering where he is and what he's doing."
