Shots-fired reported at Sidewinders' club in North End

NEW BEDFORD — The Sidewinders motorcycle club's building in the North End was shot at this week, police reported.
Nobody was inside the building, located at 86 King St., when someone opened fire around 2:45 a.m. Monday, police said.
Police officers found seven spent shell casings outside and five bullet holes in the building, said New Bedford Police Capt. David Lizotte.
According to police logs, graffiti was discovered Tuesday afternoon on a building at 117 King St., about five blocks from the Sidewinders club.
Lizotte said the Police Department's Gang Unit is investigating whether the graffiti might be related to the shooting.
