Craig Chapman, manager at Action Powersports, knows a little bit about repairing a bike and he acknowledges that many riders overlook the dangers of traveling on bad roads.
"Even for the most seasoned rider it can be very dangerous. It doesn't take much to really upset the geometry of a motorcycle, you can be in control one minute, it doesn't take much."
Potholes can flip bikes, bend rims and leave nasty marks on the body.
Ray Smith bought his bike two weeks ago out riding today for the first time since the snow and he already has problems.
"I worry about my bike more than i do my health but that's a typical biker you know. Well I think I've got a shock issue or suspension issue, yeah the potholes not just on cars but on bikes, they're rough."
On her drive into work this morning. Lori Cobb admits there were some close calls. But thats not even her biggest concern.
"With other motorists, be aware of us and what we're going through right now."
It doesn't matter what vehicle you're in. If you see any potholes that you think could be a problem, report them to the Mayor's Action Center at 918-596-2100.
