Argentine Authorities Capture Dangerous American Criminal

OFF THE WIRE
Amy Sanders
Argentina police forces helped the United States in the capturing of one of the most dangerous criminals. A man wanted for murder for several years now was captured by Argentine authorities while he was hiding in Argentina. In a public statement made by Stacia A. Hylton, director of the U.S. Marshals Service, Americans expressed their gratitude towards their foreign counter-parties and explained that a good collaboration between the services has also led in the past to the capture of many dangerous criminals.
Paul Merle Eischeid was on the U.S. Marshals Service’s most wanted list among the 15 first criminals. He was responsible in 2001 for the murder of a woman named Cynthia Garcia. The crime took place in Phoenix, Arizona and it was one of the cruelest crimes ever seen by authorities. After beating her up, Paul Merle Eischeid put the woman into the trunk of his car and left for the desert. There he repeatedly stabbed her but without ending her life at that moment. He abandoned her there, leaving her to die slowly and in tremendous pain.
A former stockbroker, Paul Merle Eischeid was also a member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang. It is at the gang’s club that he met the woman whom he later killed without mercy. He was initially captured by U.S Marshalls but his past profession and his lack of criminal activities in the past, gained him a pretrial release. He was put under electronic monitoring while awaiting trial but in 2003 he was arrested for drug trafficking. It was at that time that he removed his electronic device and fled authorities. Argentine authorities managed to track him down while he was hiding in Buenos Aires and arrest him.
