The Sensenbrenner resolution

OFF THE WIRE
The Sensenbrenner resolution introduced to Congress last July is waiting to be heard in the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, where it is waiting to be heard. House Resolution HR 1498 would retain the ban on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) ability to lobby State legislators for motorcycle helmet laws using Federal tax dollars.

Bikers USA urges the subcommittee and Congress to hear and approve the resolution.

As House Speaker Boehner stumbles around with the question of what programs he would like to see cut, and can't think of any, Bikers can think of at least one more program to be axed.

Federal Funding of Motorcycle Only Checkpoints
While keeping the NHTSA from using our tax dollars to promote helmet laws, there is also a push for bikers and all voters to contact Congress and urge them to suspend the NHTSA grant funding program DTNH22-10-R-00386. This program funds the “Motorcycle Law Enforcement Demonstrations”. The funds have been used to conduct motorcycle only checkpoints in New York. The NHTSA has expanded the program to fund 5 other states.

Bikers USA joins the rest of the motorcyclists throughout the country, in support of actions to contact Congress and urge the suspension of this program. Saying HELL NO! WE DON'T WANT AND WILL NOT TOLERATE THOSE STINKING MOTORCYCLE ONLY CHECKPOINTS. THIS IS NOT NAZI GERMANY. THERE ARE ALREADY FAR TOO MANY CHECKPOINTS VIOLATING OUR RIGHTS TO TRAVEL.

BIKERS USA also urges Congress to remove funding for other NHTSA (pronounced Nazi) programs such as their NO REFUSAL program in which they are using our tax money to tell states to let their armed thugs disguised as public servants to hold down citizens, stick a needle in their arm, and draw blood which can be used as evidence. Will this kind of invasive violation of your rights and everything decent end at just looking for evidence of too much alcohol or will these blood samples be put in DNA databases in order to track, and perhaps round up, everyone with a particular DNA pattern?

These and other issues will be covered in more depth, during the REASON TO RANT segment, later in the broadcast, and links to the actual documents so that listeners can see the documents for themselves will be posted in the chat room, but first,
