KENTUCKY: Rep. Jim Wayne of Louisville has introduced a mandatory helmet bill which would require ALL riders to wear a helmet.

Well folks we figured it would happen and our old opponents have put it in right away this time. No surprises on t he cosponsors of the this bill as they have been a pain from day one and unfortunately are still in the House to cause trouble.

Rep. Jim Wayne of Louisville has introduced a mandatory helmet bill which would require ALL riders to wear a helmet. Time to warm up the phones and computers and let your State Representative know that you oppose this bill. Lets get enough phone calls to Frankfort to have them withdraw this bill. The bill is HB 163 and here is summary of the bill:

HB 163/LM (BR 219) - J. Wayne, M. Marzian, T. Burch, K. Flood, J. Jenkins, R. Palumbo
AN ACT relating to the operation of motorcycles.
Amend KRS 189.285 to require the use of protective headgear for any person who operate s or rides as a passenger on a motorcycle.
