RICHMOND, Va. — A federal jury in Richmond has begun deliberations in a motorcycle gang racketeering trial.
Among the five defendants is Jack Rosga of Milwaukee, the national president of the Outlaws biker gang. Prosecutors say Rosga and the others participated in a violent criminal enterprise that mostly targeted the rival Hells Angels.
Among the incidents discussed during a two-week trial were a couple of bar fights in Virginia and the shooting of a Hells Angels member in Maine.
Defense attorneys say prosecutors are trying to make a few random incidents look like a broad criminal conspiracy.
The jury began deliberations today. It's the second trial for Rosga, whose first trial last month ended in a hung jury.
