NC to begin on-the-spot fingerprint scanning.

North Carolina is projected to run a $3.7 Billion deficit, yet they are planning more ways to spend and more intrusions on privacy of individuals.
120 handheld fingerprint scanners are being issued to 13 North Carolina law agencies throughout the region, including Raleigh police and the Wake County Sheriff's Office, at the beginning of the year, amidst concerns that government is furthering their databases which track citizens.
Earlier this year, Governor Perdue signed a bill into law allowing government to force DNA samples from suspects without proof of guilt.
