A New South Wales police analyst has been jailed for at least seven months for leaking confidential information to bikie gangs.
Terry Gregoriou, 33, was found guilty of three counts of unlawfully disclosing confidential information held by NSW Police.
He printed information at work about bikie gang activity and gave copies to his long time friend Peter Vasilly - who is linked to the Comancheros.
Gregoriou previously claimed he was "stunned" to find his friend's name linked to an outlaw motorcycle gang.
In Downing Centre Local Court, Magistrate Lee Gilmour has sentenced him to at least seven months jail recommending it be served as home detention.
That will be determined when he faces court again in March.
His bail has been continued.

A court has been told a New South Wales police analyst stole documents and passed them on to an associate of the Comancheros bikie gang.
Police analyst Terry Gregoriou has been charged with unlawfully disclosing sensitive intelligence material.
On the first day of a hearing in Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court, the Crown has alleged Gregoriou stole confidential material and says there are surveillance tapes and telephone intercepts to support its case.
In a brief statement, defence barrister Shane McAnulty said there is no issue with the fact Gregoriou downloaded some documents but the facts after that will be disputed.
The barrister asked Detective Sergeant Brett Cordery from the professional standards branch if there was a ban on officers printing off reports.
The answer was no, as long as there were proper reasons provided.
The police officer also said that, in some cases, regional analysts were allowed greater access to documents in the police system than officers in the local area command.
The hearing continues.
