A Seattle biker who allegedly pummeled a White Center man at a fundraiser for victims of violent crime earlier this year has been charged with second-degree assault, according to charging paperwork filed in King County Superior Court.

Victor Griffith, 54, is accused of starting a fight Feb. 20 inside the Barrel Tavern, 11051 1st Ave. S., after the victim made a derogatory comment about Griffith's father, according to charging documents. Griffith, who prosecutors said is member of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, grabbed the victim by his ponytail and the two fell to the floor.

Other Bandidos kicked the victim in the back, head and groin, charges said.

The victim's wife told deputies that her husband had been attacked by members of the Bandidos and the Amigos Motorcycle Club. She could identify them by their "colors," charges said.

The victim suffered eye injuries and a concussion, deputies said.

Deputies say that the Apple Dumpling Gang, another motorcycle club, was hosting a fundraiser for victims of violent crime at the Burien bar that night.

Sheriff's Detective Jon Holland interviewed Griffith after the fight and did not arrest him because of a lack of evidence. Holland continued to gather evidence and the assault charge was filed on Nov. 4. In charging documents, King County Deputy Prosecutor Samantha Kanner requested a warrant for his arrest.
