LOCAL 6 NOVEMBER NEWS

What a Great meeting we had on Sunday…. Many people were in attendance, and we had a lot of good conversation & questions. We received an answer from Cal Trans concerning the unsafe road reports we sent in. We discussed the elections just past, and political and legal issues that were coming up, including the fact that Governor Schwarznegger has offered a $51,000 reward for info leading to the arrest of person or persons responsible for the murder of local 6 members Barry & Carol Sandberg in 2009.

We had inquiries from several clubs and organizations who want to become business members, and Jim Brown signed four new members last month. At the end of September, Local 6 was the second largest local in the state. Now….for the next goal ! If all of the current members remember to renew, we’re in ! American Legion Post 460 in San Diego where many of our members belong, has just started an American Legion Riders chapter. They are building their membership, so if you are interested in becoming a Charter Member, check them out on your computer at
al 460 riders. Boozefighter MC “Wolf” won the 50/50, again…..and donated the money back to the Local 6 Treasury, again ! Thanks, guy !

Put Sunday November 28th on your calendar for the Annual “ San Diego Toy Run” of which local 6 is a sponsor. Gathering at 9 AM – 10:30 AM on Harbor Drive at the FireFighters Training Academy on Harbor Drive west of the San Diego Airport . Bring a new, unwrapped toy. And on Sunday December 12th, The Annual visit to the Vets in the San Diego VA Hospital. Meet at Noon in the parking lot at the Hospital on La Jolla Village Drive .
