Outlaws biker gang trial continuing

RICHMOND, Va. — Testimony is continuing in Virginia in the federal racketeering trial of four members of the Outlaws motorcycle gang, including its national president.

The jury will hear from witnesses Thursday, the second day of a trial that is expected to last two weeks.

Jack Rosga of Milwaukee, Wis., is the president of a motorcycle organization that prosecutors say thrived on violence, much of it aimed at gaining an advantage over the rival Hell's Angels biker gang. Rosga and three Outlaws associates are charged with racketeering and other offenses.

Twenty-seven Outlaws members were indicted in June. One was shot to death as federal agents tried to arrest him in Maine. Fifteen have entered guilty pleas, charges against one were dropped, and six others will be tried later.
