GENEVA promotes motorcycle awareness

Geneva's Editorial
I know it's easy to complain about drivers who don't see motorcycles on the road. Yes, I feel
that most accidents involving a bike is caused by the drivers of the other vehicles because, lets
face it... they simply can not see the two wheelers. Since bikes have the same right to be on the
road as other vehicles, I think it would be a great idea to post messages in every rear view morror
that says: "Watch for Motorcycles", right before "Objects may be closer than they appear".

The first thing a driver at fault says at the accident scene is "I didn't see the motorcycle".
That's because they have a hard time remembering to watch for us. I've known so many bikers
who have been victims of these fatal crashes and it's heartbreaking. Knowledge is the only way
to prevent these accidents. How can we make it more clear? Most bikers ride differently in a group,
than solo 'cause they are aware that other vehicles can't see them. My suggestion is to post signs
everywhere we can to remind drivers to be aware of us.

I am in total support of the Motorcycle Awareness Campaign. If you'd like more info on how to
help, please visit the website below. They are doing there best to post signs not only at bike events
but everywhere. Would love to see a sign on every street corner. Lets do what we can folks to help
make a difference. Thanks friends.
