Classic: Angry Bikers Hang Wanted Poster of Man Suspected in Ring of Motorcycle Thefts

Off the Wire News
MCs in the News CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - 19 Action News was first to tell you about a suburban theft ring broken up for stealing motorcycles. Now, we'll tell you how the victims got their justice!

The group of crooks messed with the wrong crowd this time! Before cops could break up the ring of bad guys, angry bikers took the law into their own hands by putting up a wanted poster with the crook's photo plastered on it.

Billy Smith was just one of the eleven people indicted for stealing motorcycles and ATV's from all over Northeast Ohio.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutors say Smith was spotted by a witness stealing a bike outside of a biker bar in the Cleveland Flats District. The witness confronted one of Smith's friends and found out his identity. Next, the angry bikers posted wanted flyers throughout the area.

Parma Police, who finally brought down the theft ring, tells 19 Action News that the group of crooks stole at least one-hundred and seventy thousand dollars worth of bikes. The group would keep them, sell them or chop them up to make money on the parts.

Cuyahoga County Prosecutors say they'll treat this case as organized crime.

In the end, the suspects are a bit lucky. Would you rather have cops looking for you or some ticked off bikers?
