MCs in the News PORTAGE | Just days after police raided the MOB Squad motorcycle club headquarters in Portage, arresting one person and citing 38 others, police checked on a vehicle outside the building and arrested two people on drug charges.
Nicholas Stucker, 23, of Hobart, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. Police confiscated two guns from him, although he said he had a gun permit.
Jaysen Soberg, 24, of Portage, was arrested and charged with visiting a common nuisance.
Police made the two arrests at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the MOB Squad location at J&L Storage, 5675 Old Porter Road.
Police said they approached a vehicle outside the clubhouse and smelled marijuana. Police said marijuana and a smoking pipe were found in the vehicle.
Stucker, who was in the vehicle when police approached, was arrested along with Soberg, who police said went into the headquarters as they approached.
The headquarters was the site of a raid Jan. 31. Police from several law enforcement agencies conducted a raid after receiving a tip that a motorcycle club was having a party and selling alcohol without a permit.
MOB Squad president Joseph Hopper, 26, of South Haven, was arrested during that raid on a warrant and faces new charges of maintaining a common nuisance and selling alcohol without a permit. Police cited 37 others on visiting a common nuisance charges and one on an underage drinking charge.
