N.J. man pleads not guilty in beating of Pagans Motorcycle Club informant

Off the Wire News - MCs in the News CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A New Jersey man has pleaded not guilty to federal charges accusing him of participating in the beating of a suspected informant by members of the Pagans Motorcycle Club.

Dante T. DeMarco was allowed to remain free on a $10,000 bond after a hearing Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Charleston. DeMarco faces charges of obstruction of justice and assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

Earlier this month, DeMarco was added to a racketeering case accusing 38 Pagans members and associates of a host of crimes ranging from illegal gambling to murder conspiracy.

DeMarco is one of five defendants charged with beating the suspected informant in a New Jersey hotel room just over a year ago.
